Nick Woods Fundraiser
An auction to raise funds for an injured man has raised $300,000.
The fantastic sum was raised with the help of Tweed Sutherland First National property manager Tamara Cox whose friend had an accident.
Last October Bendigo resident Nick Woods fell while mountain biking with his fiance Bec McClean, landing heavily on his neck. He is now a quadriplegic and confined to a wheelchair.
The fundraiser was held this month to make a real difference in how Nick and Bec live out their lives. About 500 people attended and everything was donated including the venue and the food, so all the money raised could go to Nick.
